Most desktop environments provide basic settings for your touchpad. These are things like tap to click and scroll direction. But what about gestures that you might be used to on other operating systems? There are several ways to go about enabling gesture support but the one I’ve had the most luck with personally is Fusuma.
Fusuma is multitouch gesture recognizer. This gem makes your linux able to recognize swipes or pinches and assign commands to them.

Fusuma will allow you to map swipe, pinch and rotate gestures. You can map them to desktop environment specific commands or use xdotool to map them to keyboard shortcuts.
